DOUBLE BRITISH CHAMPION

Natasha Wilson, from Larbert, has been with Central since she was 5 years old!

On Saturday 27th November she competed at the British Taekwondo National Poomsae Championships held in Worcester.

As she is 17 she was eligible to compete at both Junior and Under 30 level.
These two categories were the biggest and most hotly contested at the event.

Natasha was up against 34 of the best junior female athletes from all over the UK. Having been cadet and junior British Champion on many occasions in the past, she was one of the favourites going into the competition.

She performed at her usual high standards and managed to retain her Junior British Title.

She then stepped up to compete against adults for the very first time in her career.  Despite having 30 of the countries top exponents in her category, she did it again and became a Double British Champion.

The championship was one of many highlights of Natasha’s career.  She has represented the UK at World Championships in Denmark, Peru and Taiwan.

She has put herself in pole position for selection for next years Worlds - these will be held in the home of Taekwondo, Korea!

It has always been a lifetime ambition of Natasha’s to visit Korea.  She is now inspired to train even harder and achieve as much of her outstanding potential as possible.

All Central members are very proud of her achievement and wish her the very best of luck for the future.
