JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Two members of Central Academy are on their way to Canada with Team GB for the Junior World Championships.

The championships takes place in Burnaby from 16th to 20th November. Jordyn Smith, aged 15, is one of the UK’s most successful players - current Cadet European Champion and World Bronze Medallist. She will be competing in her first major tournament as a junior. Tormod David, aged 17, will be representing the UK for the first time.

Originally from Canada, Tormod will be returning to his country of birth to try and get amongst the medals for GB. The event will be the biggest junior worlds ever held with 845 athletes from 102 countries taking part.
